ESMOD was attending Texworld (Messe Frankfurt) in Le Bourget from 6 to 8 February 2023 as part of its long-standing partnership with the internationally renowned textile trade fair.
The school took the opportunity presented by this edition of the event to showcase its digital talents
with 2 designers currently in their 2 nd year of the BAC+5 (A Levels + 5 years of higher education) ” Creative Director programme “, programme, who were presenting their personal collections that they’d unveiled to
a panel of fashion professionals last December.
Savanah Cherki grabbed the audience’s attention with her presentation of a virtual reality collection
developed in partnership with 3DVERSE, her creations, through which she experiments with both the
body and materials, examining her relationship with femininity. She invited her audience at Texworld
to explore her virtual reality world using HoloLens glasses.
Mengyang Wang, meanwhile, presented a collection centred around softness and poetry that also
used digital technology to create its textile prints; a colourful experience that took visitors on a
timeless journey with pieces that had a futuristic flavour.
This is just one of the ways in which ESMOD is reasserting its position as a leader in digital fashion education, along with the launch in 2022 of the first Metawear class as part of its Fashion Designer
syllabus and its vocational training in using CLO 3D—a training stream with a bright future that
certainly opens doors to new and exciting professions for its graduates.
