OVERVIEW
ESMOD is a private school recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Communication, training for the fashion industry. Formerly called the Guerre-Lavigne school, it was founded in 1841 by Alexis Lavigne, making it the oldest fashion school in the world.
The ESMOD Group provides a three or five year course in Fashion Design and Pattern Making approved by the French State at levels 6 & 7, but also offers Fashion Business courses at the ESMOD Fashion Business / ISEM schools (with diplomas also recognized by the State at levels 6 & 7).
The ESMOD network currently has five schools in France in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Rennes and Roubaix and a total of 20 schools worldwide in the following cities: Beijing, Guangzhou, Beirut, Istanbul, Damascus, Dubai, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Moscow, Kyoto, Tokyo, Oslo, Seoul, Sousse and Tunis.
Based around a common curriculum, each school develops its partnerships with regional institutions in order to guarantee students a unique, creative experience and adapted internship offers. Competitions, exhibitions, workshops, fairs… are all means used to share our expertise with all fashion enthusiasts!
