This Wednesday, the second edition of the Alpaca Awards, organized by PROMPERU France rewarded the three most beautiful creations of ESMOD students.

On this occasion, it is the student Yichen Huang, 22 years old, who wins the competition and takes the first place. The young Canadian/Chinese origin seduced the jury with an asymmetrical sweater in 100% alpaca fiber in shapes of blue and gray tones that showed the chaos in front of nature and man. Yichen Huang will do a one month internship in the Peruvian city of Cusco, where she will visit various textile factories. Once this internship is done, she will design a full collection that will be exposed during in events as Perú Moda and Alpaca Fiesta.

The second place went to Yohan Levi who presented a sober sage green sweater that his mother knitted in two months. Yohan will do a one-month internship in the southern city of Arequipa, where he will be able to visit the textile factories of the companies Incalpaca and Michell.

Third place, with an internship in the central region of Junín, was won by Theo Acquitapace, who defended his project to the jury from a distance. The young man presented an exquisite design proposal in which his grandmother knitted two intertwined vests, so that when one was put on, the other fell as if it were tied at the waist.
